Join us virtually via Zoom for “Gender Diversity & the Importance of Pronouns” with Boston University’s Dr. Shannon Peters.  The evening will include a discussion about sexual orientation and gender diversity terminology; how sexuality and gender are seen as on a spectrum; and why gender pronouns are becoming more prominently used in society today. Dr. Peters will discuss several topics, including the impacts of systemic oppression, discrimination, and trauma on the mental health of marginalized individuals; transgender healthcare and mental health; and gender-based violence response and prevention.
