This month’s selection is Amulet: The Stonekeeper by Kazu Kibuishi. In this first book of the popular series Em and Navin move into a strange new house where a tentacled creature lures their mom through a door in the basement. Desperate not to lose her, they follow her into a fantastical world inhabited by robots, mysterious plants, and talking animals as they work to try to save her. Young people in grades 4-8 are invited to the library to discuss the book and participate in related activities. Attendees should read the book before the meeting and bring the book with them; copies will be available at the library.
