Karen Land: Iditarod Talk

Friday, March 116:30—7:30 PMPrinceton-Town Hall Annex

Join Iditarod Racer Karen Land and her dogs Noggin and Chloe at the Town Hall Annex at 4 Town Hall Drive in Princeton to learn all about Karen’s experience racing in the Iditarod, the annual long-distance sled dog race run in early March from Anchorage to Nome. The Iditarod began in 1973 as an event to test the best sled dog mushers and teams but has evolved into today's highly competitive race. Karen will tell us about her adventures as a musher and display her actual Iditarod dog sled, gear, and arctic clothing. This event is co-hosted by the Princeton Public Library and the Conant Public Library in Sterling. Registration is required.
