At their next meeting on Wednesday, April 13 at 6:30, middle schoolers will celebrate Earth day with a discussion of Carl Hiaasen’s novel Hoot, winner of the Newberry Award. What can a couple of teens do to protect the shrinking habit of an endangered owl? Participants should read the book before the meeting and bring the book with them; copies will be available at the library.
